Brisbane is a growing city, with trendy restaurants and luxurious homes popping up all throughout the River City. With this, the demand for interior designers is at a peak, and what better way to celebrate Brisbane’s best designers than to showcase the cream of the crop.
One of the most talked about Brisbane Interior Designers at the moment is Anna Spiro, whose work on the Halcyon House boutique hotel has recently been celebrated by featuring in Vogue Living July 2015. Anna’s whimsical signature flair of bright colours and bold patterns feature throughout the hotel, and each suite provides a different experience. You’ll find handpicked antiques, fabric-upholstered walls, and unique artwork sourced from around the globe. Her projects extend from residential through to hospitality and commercial design, proving her inventive style is nothing if not adaptable. If you are just as inspired by her style as I am, make sure you visit her store, Black and Spiro, in New Farm or take a look at her book, Absolutely Beautiful Things.
Another Brisbane-based designer who has been widely celebrated with work published in Grand Designs Australia, Belle, Metropolitan Home Malaysia and Vogue Living – to name a few – is James Dawson. His study in art, architecture, and interior design is demonstrated through the high level of detail evident in his chic, sophisticated and luxurious work.
Alexander Lotersztain is an Argentinian-born Australian designer and founder of Derlot, a multi-disciplinary design firm that focuses in interior design, art direction, branding and product design. His work has been featured in international design publications, as well as showcased work in the collection of Paris’ Centre Pompidou. Alexander has been named one of the top 100 of the world’s influential designers in the book &fork, by Phaidon.
The architecture and interior design studio, Arkhefield, has been a leading Brisbane firm for over 20 years, and continue to deliver impressive designs over commercial, hospitality, educational, and residential sectors. Some of their projects have included the Q&A Building in Brisbane’s City shopping hub, the Brisbane International Airport retail upgrade, Stokehouse, Libertine, and the Myer Centre Foodcourt, but that’s just grazing the surface of their impressive design portfolio.
Coco Republic Interior Design also has highly renowned interior design teams based in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, offering their world-class interior design services all over Australia. From their Queensland studio, their focus is on residential and commercial design showcasing a luxurious and refined elegance.
