We’re expecting the use of more concentrated colours being used within an organic and natural aesthetic, which is in focus at the moment, and the perfect colour palette for this is inspired by the desert. Although orange hues dominate the desert, soft pinks, mauves, and blues still play a vital role – think striking desert sunsets. This palette is sophisticated and serene, and will be sure to create a warm and inviting appeal in any interior. This palette ranges from burnt orange and saffron right through to mauves and blues. A rendered terracotta-coloured wall will add colour and texture to a living space with a hint of exotic flavour. Add a luxurious natural linen sofa – the kind you can sink into – like the Coco Republic Oxford Tilted Track Arm Sofa and a pair of tan leather occasional chairs for a refined scheme. Then accentuate with richly coloured cushions for on trend style. An ombre effect will be a popular element within this trend, which you can apply through incorporating a monochromatic colour palette (using multiple shades and tones of a single hue). The darkest shade will act as a focal point, so a feature wall or an oversized piece of artwork will be great options for this. Consider the warmth of terracotta, travertine or onyx for surfaces within the kitchen and bathrooms – remember this trend is all about natural and raw sophistication. These natural materials can also be incorporated through decorative items such as the Coco Republic Onyx Flat Bowl (one of my ultimate favourites) to compliment the space.
