I’ve taken a particular interest in tiles over these last couple of weeks after having been inspired by the stunning Moroccan Zellige, which you can read more about here. As beautiful as bold tile work can be on a kitchen backsplash or feature wall, they can also be just as effective incorporated into your flooring for a showstopping interior.
Over the last week I’ve looked into the latest in commercial and hospitality design, and have noticed trends that highlight different spaces through the incorporation of transitional flooring, fusing different materials in lively and inventive ways.
Perhaps you might want something out there like a colourful hexagonal ceramic tile integrated into your polished concrete flooring, or maybe something a bit subtler like a sophisticated marble and timber herringbone.
Either way, there are always big rewards when attention has been paid to the smaller details, so make sure you take a look through this gorgeous gallery below that showcases some clever ways to achieve this look in your home.
