Set in Paris’ historic red light district lays the Hotel Panache: an Art Nouveau-inspired hotel that, thanks to its elegance and design flair, has recently become the talk of the town. The flat iron-shaped 19th century building houses 40 guest rooms over seven floors, all offering a priceless view over the quaint Parisian streets below. As you enter the establishment you’re welcomed with gorgeous charcoal parquetry flooring and bold geometric tile work, its moody monochromatic palette offset by the zesty use of burnt orange velvet seating, as well as bronze and smoked-mirror finishes highlighted throughout the space. Black and white with bursts of colour flow up through to the boutique hotel’s guest rooms, offering a fusion of contemporary and classic. Teal blue wraps around the lower border of the white walls to inject some colour and fun, while patterned wallpaper features on one wall. Whether it’s against the deep green malachite wallpaper or the graphic black and white arrow print, the curvaceous cane bedhead truly stands out in the room. Its curves contrast against the sharp angles seen in the mirror as well as the geometric patterned carpet flooring, all thoughtfully designed to play (and reflect) on the awkward and unusual shape of the building itself. The makers of the illustrious Hotel Paradis Paris, Adrien Gloaguen and Dorothée Meilichzon, are also the talented duo behind this contemporary Art Nouveau establishment. Colourful and elegant, the Hotel Panache will be sure to make your stay in the 10th arrondissement a joyful and memorable one.
