70’s Glam: No, I’m not talking about brown suits and corduroy (there’s nothing glam about that) – I’m talking more about the glamorous 70’s style that came with gold hoop earrings and fur gilets. With all of the tonal, neutral palettes within interior design this year, we’ve also seen an increase in 70’s inspired finishes and textures. Gold finishes are a must-have when it comes to spicing up a neutral interior. You don’t have to go over the top, but a few accent pieces in a glimmering gold will go a long way. The Jonathan Adler Caracas Floor Lamp is one of my favourite gold pieces at the moment: the sculptural elements with the spheres, cones and rods truly make it a feature piece that will really pop against whites and creams. Beautiful plush textures such as fur (real or faux) and sheepskin will add that ultimate luxurious aesthetic to your neutral 70’s glam-inspired interior. A large oversized faux fur throw, like the Timothy Oulton Fox Throw, would look amazing at the foot of your bed – not to mention it’ll be dreamy to curl up into. If you want something a bit more dramatic, then why not make a feature in your living room with the Jonathan Adler Large Mongolian Lamb Bench: soft Mongolian lambskin wraps the bench seat whilst delicate gold legs peak out for a burst of colour.
